The NJ Audubon Scherman-Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Bernardsville, Basking Ridge, and Harding Townships, New Jersey. It consists of 276 acres of woodland, field, and floodplain habitat with over 200 species of wildlife.
Within the sanctuary is the Hoffman Center for Conservation and Environmental Education and a trail system connecting the different habitats. There are numerous bird species, including Ruby-Throated Hummingbird, Wild Turkey, both Great-Horned and Screech Owls, and the Pileated Woodpecker. A variety of mammals also make their home there, including the Red Fox, Coyote, Long-Tailed Weasel, and White-Tailed Deer.
