Lewis Morris Park is named after the first Governor of the State of New Jersey. The park was opened in 1958 and was the first park in the Morris County Park System. Lewis Morris Park is located near the Jockey Hollow section of Morristown National Historical Park.
There are numerous activities for families within the park. Sunrise Lake offers swimming and boating. The park also has hiking trails, jogging paths, fitness stations, athletic fields, and horseshoe pits.
