The park was created in 2005 and is still being developed. The park is currently for day use and there are plans to develop a campground with up to 200 campsites.
Families can enjoy a range of outdoor recreation within the park. There are miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking and cross country skiing. Jericho Lake provides water recreation, including swimming, fishing and paddle boating.
