Bear Brook State Park is located in southeast New Hampshire in Allenstown. It is the largest developed state park in the state. Many of the buildings were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and the park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Hiking is a popular activity for families and there are 40 miles of trails throughout the park. The trail system can also be used for mountain biking, cross country skiing and horseback rising. Families wishing to camp overnight can stay in one of the 101 campsites along Beaver Pond. Properly licensed and leashed pets are permitted within the campgrounds and on the trails.
