Maplewood State Park is located in Western Minnesota in the Leaf Mountains. The park features numerous hardwood trees like oak, elm and maple that provide excellent fall foliage.
Miles of trails offer families great hiking and horseback riding. During the winter, the trails offer cross-country skiing, snow shoeing and snowmobiling.
There are great opportunities for family camping within Maplewood State Park. There are 71 drive-in campsites that can accommodate RVs and 32 have electrical hookups. Five camper cabins have electricity and can sleep 5 people. Showers, flush toilets and a dump station are open seasonably.
