Pikes Peak State Park is located in northeastern Iowa along the Upper Mississippi River at the confluence with the Wisconsin River. A 500-foot bluff overlooks the river and provides scenic views. The park is named for Zebulon Pike, who also has Pikes Peak in Colorado named for him.
Hiking is a popular activity at Pikes Peak State Park Trails lead to the Point Ann Overlook and the Bridal Veil Falls. Families can also camp overnight at the park and the campground offers 77 campsites. 60 sites have electrical hookups and the campground has modern restroom/shower facilities and a RV dump station.
