Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park protects 70 miles of shoreline around Charlotte Harbor in southwest Florida. Most of the preserve is comprised of marshes, mangrove forests, scrubland and upland forest.

Kayaking or canoeing is a great way to explore Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park. Hiking is another popular activity for families and there are several miles of trails. Families are urged to bring plenty of water and insect repellant.
