Lake Ouachita State Park is part of the Arkansas State Park System and is surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest. The 40,000-acre Lake Ouachita is known for it's pristine waters and excellent water sports.
Boating and fishing are both very popular in the park. A full service marina offers 70 rental slips and a boat launch. Power boats, canoes and kayaks can be rented at the marina.
Hiking is another popular activity and the half-mile, kid-friendly Dogwood Trail is ideal for families. The more strenuous Caddo Bend Trail is 4 miles long and features an observation deck over the lake. The park offers 103 campsites across multiple campsites and 7 cabins located on the shoreline of the lake.
