Farny State Park is located in Morris County, New Jersey. The park is somewhat difficult to find and the access road is very rough.

The park is adjacent to the Split Rock Reservoir and provides great paddle boating. There are miles of hiking trails within the park, however the terrain can be difficult for smaller and less advanced family members.

Hunting Island State Park is South Carolina's most popular state park and is a great destination for family outdoor adventures. Located in the park is Hunting Island Lighthouse, which was built in the 1875 and was actively used until 1933. In the 1930's, the Civilian Conservation Corps developed the island into a state park.

Corson's Inlet State Park is located on the Atlantic Coast in Ocean City, New Jersey. The park preserves shoreline, dune systems, estuaries and upland areas.

A highlight of the park is the 98-acre Strathmere Natural Area that protects undeveloped beachfront and dunes. The area provides nesting sites for the Least Tern, Black Skimmer and the endangered Piping Plover.

Cleburne State Park is located in Johnson County, Texas and is named for the nearby town of Cleburne. A central feature of the park is the 116-acre spring-fed Cedar Lake and the 3-mile scenic roadway surrounding it. The park was created in the mid-1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).

Big Bend Ranch State Park is the largest state park within Texas. The park protects a large portion of the Chihuahuan Desert ecosystem and has 23 miles of frontage on the Rio Grande river. Within the park is Madrid Falls, the second highest waterfall within the state of Texas. The terrain around the falls is very rugged and they are difficult to access.
