Tourne County Park is part of the Morris County Park System and has portions located in Boonton, Denville and Mountain Lakes, NJ. Hiking is a popular activity within the park and the Yellow Trail offers scenic views at the Top of Tourne. The trails are also used for biking and horseback riding.

During the winter months, Tourne park is a popular place for cross country skiing. A portion of McCafferty Lane is gated to vehicular traffic and is used as a sledding hill.

Loantaka Brook Reservation is a county park within the Morris County Park System in New Jersey. A major feature of the park is its namesake brook which winds among the paths. Loantaka Brook Reservation features 744 acres with over 8 miles of trails for hiking, biking, jogging, horseback riding and cross-country skiing.

The Reservation comprises four main sections, which include Helen Hartley Jenkins Woods section, the Kitchell Road section, the Seaton Hackney Stables and the South Street section.

Bald Point State Park is located on the Gulf Coast of Florida in Franklin County. The park is located on Alligator Point, where Apalachee Bay meets Ochlockonee Bay. There is a range of terrain, including pine stands, oak forest and coastal marshes, that supports rich biodiversity.

The park is home to more than 360 plant species and 230 species of animals, including bobcat and bald eagles.

Located just a few minutes from downtown Freeport, Maine, Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park provides a tranquil, natural retreat. The land for the park was a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence M. C. Smith and the park itself opened in 1972. Wolfe's Neck is a wooded peninsula (the "neck") between the Harraseeket River and Casco Bay and is named for original settlers Henry and Rachel Woolfe. The park includes a variety of ecosystems, including white pine and hemlock forests, open fields, salt marsh and rocky coastline.

Humboldt Lagoons State Park protects three lagoons on the Pacific Coast in northwest California which are part of the nation's largest lagoon system. Big Lagoon is the largest lagoon and located to the south, Stone Lagoon is located in the middle, and Freshwater Lagoon is the smallest and northernmost lagoon. Dry Lagoon was previously drained by farmers and is now a wetland area.
