Families Get Outdoors at the Second Annual NJ WILD Outdoor Expo

Families who love the outdoors should check out the 2nd Annual New Jersey WILD Outdoor Expo on September 17 and 18, 2011 at the Colliers Mills Wildlife Management Area in Ocean County, New Jersey. The Expo provides information and demonstrations for a range of outdoor adventure activities that are available in New Jersey.

Family members can learn about and try animal tracking, archery, bird watching, fishing, and kayaking. Camping and orienteering demonstrations provide skills for safe and fun outdoor experiences. There's also birds of prey flight demonstrations, giant mobile aquarium of New Jersey game fish and a climbing wall.

Outdoor gear will also be available for purchase. Food vendors will be available or visitors can bring their own food to the expo.

The Expo will be held from 10 am to 5 pm each day, rain or shine. Admission, parking and most activities are free. A few activities charge a small fee and/or require pre-registration.

The WILD Outdoor Expo is sponsored by the NJDEP's Division of Fish and Wildlife, NJDEP Division of Parks and Forestry, the Green Acres Program and the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey. For more information and a list of programs, visit www.wildoutdoorexpo.com.
